Our Goal

Strategic Forum exists to foster advanced strategic thought on Australia’s security challenges.

The Strategic Forum board and management pursue this goal though diverse means that include:

• Planning, organisation and hosting closed workshops, generally in partnership with relevant senior officials from Australia and allied countries. These off-the-record discussions are designed to progress the development of practical options for dealing with priority security challenges.

• The engagement of senior foreign security leaders and researchers in high-level discussions on key national, regional and global security challenges.

• Periodic public presentations and seminar discussions.

• The occasional publication of reports and articles on issues relevant to Australian and allied security challenges. Some of these written contributions are released to inform public discussions and debates.
